I spent the day making puzzles and

tweaking my MySpace and blog. We

caught up on a little TV that we had

on tape. Since my baby has been

sick, we've been watching more TV

than normal while she recuperates.

Road Trip

We went on a road trip to Modesto today,

I HOPE IT WAS A WASTE OF TIME!

Just Chillin' and Illin'

It was a bad night that lead to a bad day. I had a touch

of something that screwed up my lower digestive tract

and I couldn't sleep. That lead to a foggy headed day.

I feel better now so it was just temporary thank God!

Barbara has come down with a cold and sore throat today.

She prolly picked it up Saturday at Levi's birthday party.

I don't think the poor dear will get over hers as quickly as

I got over mine. It didn't stop her creativity though. She

busted out several of her Jean Purses that she does so

well, but these were the best I've seen. I was impressed!

Yeah.... it's MY space!

I spent the past 2 days setting up a page at

"MySpace". Like all new things, it takes some

time getting used to it. You know, learning what you

can do and how to do it. I started with a plain white

page but with the wonderful "Google" search, I found

how to add some color and personality to the page. It

will take more time to get it to a point where I am

satisfied, but for now it's a good start.

Sunday is NASCAR on TV....

Except when the Drag Races are on!

Today I watched the NASCAR Food City 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway on TV. I was very disappointed when Jeff Gordon (my favorite racer) was running third on the 499th lap was spun out by Matt Kenseth and finished 17th. It really sucks that he could drive safely in that Bristol melee for four hours only to get screwed on the LAST LAP.

Oh well... That's racing!

Levi Rose

Today we went Jay & Jana's house for Levi Rose's

birthday party. She turned 5! There were relatives,

friends and lots of kids to celebrate with. Everybody

had pizza and birthday cake with ice cream.

I just don't remember too well.

I had a lot of visitors yesterday, most were friends

from the bored. I got alot of nice feedback at the

bored and remarks in my guestbook. I appreciate

all the nice things that were said.

We went to the doctor for Barb yesterday and

everything went smoothly and they said pretty

much what we had expected. Now we just have

to follow through with the next step.

More New Stuff

I downloaded and played around with "BitTorrent"

and "Burst!", both of which work with torrents. I had

heard a lot about it when I used to watch TechTV before

it went all to hell. It basically is a bigger, better and more

sophisticated file transfer system. It's pretty involved so

it's going to take awhile before I really know what I'm doing.

(Like I ever do...)

My fingers are crossed today and I'm sayin' a little prayer!

Today I started up a "Flickr" account and played

with it most of the time I was on my computer today.

It seems like a pretty neat, easy to use site. What I

like most is that it's FREE! It's pretty cool that places

like this "Blogger"(Thanks to Google) and "Flickr"

(thanks to Yahoo!) give so much away for free.

I made up the Flickr badge of custom cars and hot rods

that is new to the sidebar here>>>>

Spring Has Sprung!

Ah! The first day of spring!

It rained all day and I've come down with a cold.

BAH!

Home Sweet Home!

Barbara came home after spending the weekend in

Danville. She was there for a belated HAPPY BIRTHDAY

for Jenny. They finally got to go to the lunch that had been

put off until now. I know that little Jacob enjoys when BAMMA

comes over, almost as much as BAMMA does. A good time was

had by all.... but I'm just glad she's home!

Road Trip

Barb went to Jenny's house for a visit. She'll
get to see her grandson Jacob. This will make
everyone happy. She wants to visit and shop
with Jenny but also, she'll take her to a belated
birthday lunch. It's the first opportunity they've
had to get together.

Just Another Day...

Today was a BLUR!

Just like so many others that run together to form the weeks that make up the months that quickly turn into years. Luckily I have my best friend to share these days with. We talk, play games, watch TV and do stuff together. It makes the blurs enjoyable!

for the photo albums that Barbara is putting together.

I was honored to do this because Darrel was my best

buddy and a great guy!

Today was my mom's birthday. I love her very much!

A Good Day!!!

Everything went well today. We went to Modesto

to do some shopping and all the things we went there

looking for were on sale! We love to save money

so all the sale items made us very happy. We got

home and installed our new inexpensive telephone

without a hitch and it works excellent. We took the

lift off of the Tahoe before it rains tomorrow and it

was a snap. We played cards, had a real good dinner

and watched TV.... it was a good day!

When I was young I was very gullible. But as I got

a little older I changed. I didn't become cynical, I just

became better at recognizing the truth vs. BS or scams.

Talking 'Bout My Girl

I got my Colonoscopy today and everything went

very smoothly. I was impressed by the ease of the

whole (HOLE!) thing. But mainly I was really impressed

by how my best friend... my rock... the love of my life,

stood by my side throughout the thing. She voluntarily

worked it with me. The liquid diet for the 1st day. The

fasting on the 2nd day and basically holding my hand

throughout the whole day of the procedure.

Barbara is one in a million!

I may be a PERFECT ASSHOLE, but she is a PERFECT ANGEL!

We got our new BROADBAND connection and it is

quick! It goes about 7 times faster than our dial-up

used to go. So far, I LOVE it!

2nd fold...

I've got to go "ALL LIQUIDS" today in preparation to

FAST for my colonoscopy on Friday. I hope it goes by fast.

Strange Daze

Today was kinda strange. In the morning it rained, then it

cleared up and got sunny. At noon it overcast and rained a

second time only to get fully sunny again. In the afternoon it

rained a third time. It was like it couldn't make up it's mind.

Rain comes & goes but it kept getting fully sunny in between.

I cleaned and worked on my computer and the area around it,

to get ready for the guy to come tomorrow to install our new

BROADBAND internet connection! I've been holding my mug

but inside I'm like a kid waiting for Santa at Christmas. We been

using a dial-up ISP forever and it's about time we stepped up.

WOO-HOO!

Pool Pictures

We received some pictures of the new swimming pool

that Stephanie & Frank had installed, It looks like it'll

be a lot of fun and put to good use in the Phoenix heat.

F-U-N = B-A-R-B

Today was a little strange. As I read the newspaper

first thing in the morning, I sorta plan out my day.

Sundays have always been a sports day. My sport

that is in season is car racing. NHRA drag racing and

NASCAR Nextel cup is what I usually watch. I realized

there were NO RACES on TV today! I thought that would

mean a boring day. But no, Barbara came through with

the need for some birthday cards. So we spent a fun few

hours laying out, pasting up and printing up several

cards needed for March. It was a lot more fun than any

car races could have possibly been. It's always fulfilling

to create stuff, especially with Barb by my side!

Barb got a 50,000 mile check-up today and

passed with flying colors! She's healthy, so I'm

going to cancel that TROPHY WIFE I've had in

mind and keep her around for awhile longer.

(I realize who's keeping who around!)

DJ on Monk

WOO HOO!!

Our Grandson DJ, was on "Monk" tonight. It was

an episode titled "Mr. Monk and the Astronaut" and

he was one of the students in the classroom that Monk

and the Astronaut speak to on a career day thing. He was

the best one (but I suppose I'm biased). It was very cool!

Time On My Hands

Since I don't work I have a lot of time on my hands.

I don't really put it to good use but I accept my life as it

is and just enjoy being able to do as I please. Barbara

doesn't work either so we spend most of our time together.

I couldn't think of anyone I would rather hang with because

she's my best friend! Ask anyone, she is a great person and

I am one lucky fellow to have her in my life. We play cards,

watch TV, make greeting cards and just enjoy each others

company. we have our own computers and that gives us

some time apart to surf around, do art, download music,

burn CD's, make animated GIF's or whatever our individual

pursuits may be. She gets up earlier than I do and that's her

time. I go to sleep later than she does and that's my time.

It all really does work out pretty well.

I did a lot of little ticky tacky things to tweak this blog.

Most of which no one will ever notice. But I will. And that's

what matters to me. I'm a perfectionist when it comes to

these kinds of projects. I worked for HOURS just picking

out the music.

Barb worked for hours out in the garage going through boxes

of mementoes and keepsakes. That's the way she rolls! Keepsakes,

not really, she went through most of the things to give them away.

She gave me a really cool little pocket knife because she knows

that I like those kind of things. It really old and tiny! It once be-

longed to her Grandmother. COOL!

New Stuff Indeed!

I am making headway as I fumble around trying to figure

out this HTML. I am continually trying to put new things

in this blog. Not knowing what I'm doing, I'm actually kinda

proud of what I've achieved in a short time.

Today I added a guestbook and a cool email link. I tweaked

the links with hotlink pictures. I took Barb's advice and made

a little thing to show what music is playing in the background.

All in all, I'm satisfied with my progress.

I even used my own GOOGLE search for the 1st time!
