Real Work
Barbara I don't know what I would do without her. She does
all the cooking and cleaning. She does all the chores
and hard work without a single complaint. I sit around
and do things on the computer. It's just the way things
are. I recognize what side my bread is buttered and I'm
grateful to have her in my life.

Jay Day
Jay came over to put some time in on the paper he is doing
about the growth of our city for his school. We printed up a
gang of pictures of the City of Patterson that he had taken.
It's getting down to the wire.

Food
MEATLOAF
We had lotsa good food today. I usually write about the
days high point (if the day doesn't have a high point, I pick
a medium one). Most people wouldn't think that Meatloaf
deserves to be the high point. But they would have to live
on my diet for awhile. It was some DAMN GOOD meatloaf!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Road Trip
We went to Turlock today to do the shopping we
can't do here in town. We hit Target and FoodMaxx
and got everything we were looking for (cheap prices
are basically what we are always looking for).
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Butting My Head
I've been butting my head all day on MySpace trying to
figure out how to post just code. When you post code...
you get a picture. I JUST WANT THE CODE. I will
figure it out eventually... I think!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Picture posting
We spent today playing cards and playing MySpace. We
worked on both our pages tweaking them to perfection!
Late night I posted some of the art to PhotoBucket for
future use. It's pretty cool being able to post pictures
in both comments and messages at MySpace.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Barbara is home... YAY!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
More MySpace
As I've mentioned before... MySpace is addictive.
I spent the whole day re-doing both my and Barbara's profile
pages. I had figured with Barbara gone to Jenny's, I would
spend a lot of time watching TV (my favorite pastime) but NO!
I get busy changing one thing that ends up leading to another
which leads to another and so on... and being the perfectionist
that I am, it becomes never-ending. I enjoy it so it's all good!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Home Alone
Barbara left for Jenny's today.
I'm gonna be a bachelor for a couple of days!
This means that I gotta take care of myself!
BUMMER!
but it's all good... she needs time with Jenny and Jake
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Lawn day
It was a beautiful day today. After so much rain lately it was a real
nice change. We took advantage by mowing and edging the lawn.
That's all..... the rest of the day was business as usual except we
talked and made plans for Barbara's trip to Jenny's this weekend.

The Invitations... pt 2
Jay came by early today to give his final input to
the invitations. We changed quite a few things and
got a finished product everyone agreed upon. He left
and we printed them all up. Barbara then addressed
and stuffed all of the envelopes for all of the invitees.
It all turned out pretty good!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
The Invitations
Today, Barbara and I worked on the invitations for
JDB's graduation from Sacramento State. We laid it
out and pasted it up, making a template to print the
invites with. We emailed the proof to Jay for his final
approval before printing them up. He is going to stop
by in the morning to take care of some business here
in town and give the final proof an upclose looky-loo and
tell us if he's happy with it or what changes we need.

Easter was great!
Well, It's over! We had our annual Easter Car Rally and
a good time was had by all! It rained but that really didn't
put much of a damper on the festivities. Barbara planned,
decorated and cooked for a successful Easter event.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Countdown to Easter
We finished working up the map and clues for the Easter
car rally. We printed it all up and it's ready to go. Barbara
went to the store and finished up the last minute shopping
for all the food. She'll start cooking tomorrow and I'll be
there to taste the outcome. YAY!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's Almost Easter!
We had a busy day trying to get things ready for our Easter
get together. It finally was a nice day so it was the ideal time
to get a lot of things done. Naturally Barbara did all the real
real work. We went out to scour the town for landmarks and
spots for the car rally. They had to be places that we could
write understandable clues for, and yet a little taxing on the
noggin'. We came home and started sorting things out and
preliminarily putting it all together. It was all kind of fun.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
No On-Line!
Our Wi-Fi quit working for quite awhile this
morning so I was thrown for a loop because I
couldn't go on-line and do my normal routine.
So, I ended up spending much more time with
Barbara than I normally do and it wasn't half
bad. In fact it was a lot of fun. I've always known
she was cool... but FUN too! Indeed! The extra
time went by quickly because of her!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Will Somebody Answer The Damn Phone!!!
Tinnius = ringing in ones ears.
I've got it and it sucks! No wait... It BLOWS!
I'm really kind of used to it, I've had it for a
few years. I can see how it could actually drive
someone a little crazy. It ain't easy but I just
ignore it. Some days are worse than others...
and today was a particularly bad (loud) day.
No biggie, It'll quiet down some (I hope).
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Road Trip
(blogger is having a little hic-cup and won't upload the picture)
We went on a road trip to Turlock today. It's time for
our monthly trip to Costco, FoodMaxx, CostLess and
Target to pick up supplies and get ready for Easter. We
are having a few friends and family members over to
dinner, Easter egg hunt and car rally. It's a yearly thing
and it's time. Anyhoo... We finally got to see how high
the San Joaquin river is. Wow! It is really spilling over
into the fields that are next to it. Kinda scary!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Sunday is Raceday!
Any Sunday that the
DRAG RACES are on TV is Joey's
kind of Sunday. I LOVE watching the Drags. Today Melanie
Troxel won again and stretched he lead over the boys. You
go girl! I was also pulling for Ron Capps who won funny car,
so that pleases me. Then with the HBO shows...the Soprano's
and Big Love... Sunday is a good TV day!
If only Grey's Anatomy wasn't a re-run (sigh) it woulda been perfect!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Obsession
Sometimes I get obsessed... driven... to solve the smallest
detail. It becomes the item versus me, as too who's the boss
and I AIN'T GIVING UP! I worked today for hours trying
to change the color of the title on MySpace. You have to go
into the code that formulates the page and change it just a
little. It was hard but I won! Yay!! The color is now right.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
MySpace
MySpace is addictive.
I started it up when I read about it on Joe Rogan's blog
and wanted a MySpace of my own. And when I saw that
others had color and were fancy, I started to get involved
finding out how it was done. The more I dug and learned...
the more I had to be at MySpace. The more I saw, the more
I had to learn. The more I learned the deeper I got into
MySpace...
...and so on and so on...
Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining, I LIKE IT!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Cards
The high point of the day was working with Barbara
making up greeting cards. We really enjoy making our
own cards for all of our family and friends. We make
cards for all occasions. Today we made birthday cards
for my daughter Lisa and my son-in-law Frank. Their
birthday's are next week and we have it covered!
Happy Birthday Bert ~ RIP
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Diets....
THEY SUCK!!! 'nuff said
(obviously I didn't lose the weight I thought I should)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Music
I spent most of this rainy day looking around the new
music site. Looking for songs... what's available... how
to post it at the different sites and blogs. I posted the
new player at the bottom of this page. It works cool!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Saving that daylight
It was a busy day (TV wise)
First, I woke up calculating what time it was REALLY!"Lets see, it's 8:15 now... so it's really 7:15 NON-daylightsavings time". You think like that the morning after settingyour clocks ahead the night before.
There was a lot on TV today. With car races (NASCAR &NHRA) during the day (pretty much all day) and a largevariety of good shows on in the evening, it took all of mytaping skills (let's not mention the one mistake DUE to adaylight saving time snafu) to get everything watched andsaved.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
The Salad Daze
What are things coming too?
I remember when I thought a salad was something
that came with a dinner, it came with the real food,
it came with the meat! Never did I consider a salad a
meal! It came along with the meal. I mean REALLY!
Well, today I had a salad for lunch and a salad for dinner.
And I liked it! Times have changed for Joey indeed!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Rain... rain... go away!
It rained today...
HARD! It's been the wettest March
in history. For crying out loud, this is California, the
SUNSHINE STATE! Barb is still feeling poorly but we
made the best of a off day, playing games and watching
TV. With her around... it's always sunny! (aww... sweet!)
