Some days the knot in my stomach is far worse than others.... today the knot was tight! It felt that way most of the day because I'm facing the reality of the end of our relationship and trying to get everything together for the move.
Then I got a phone call that put everything in prospective when Dean called to tell me that Uncle Laurie was given two weeks to live. God bless him, Allison and the whole family. My problems ain't shit.

I haven't had much to say lately. I've been going through some tough emotional times and I tend to keep that kind of stuff bottled up inside. I guess a blog is like a diary and a lot of people share their thoughts openly. We'll see if maybe I can.

My brothers and I took the Robertson house off the market today. We should know the final results in a day or so and If it all goes the way we plan, I'll move back to Ridgecrest in due time.

I talked to Jim today for quite awhile. It turns out that after 18 years, his wife Tracy has filed for divorce. It's going to be hard on everyone, but especially the kids. Very sad indeed!

Neurology

I went to Kaiser Hospital for my Neurological exam. The doctor ran a bunch of tests on my feet and legs. He determined that I have damage on my left leg and foot. I coulda told him that over the phone. Ah, modern medicine.

We got word today that a good friend had passed away. Lucky Mancini was our neighbor in Ridgecrest. He was a father, a husband and an all around good man whose health had been declining after a long robust life. Peace at last, Lucky. We'll see you on the other side.

The state of Television on Friday night is terrible. The Ghost Whisperer is on but even the lovely Jennifer Love Hewitt doesn't make that worth watching. Good thing I have the internet! Like I said, Fridays... BAH!

Girl's Night

Tonight was the first night for the girls and I must say that they were MUCH better than the guys were yesterday. I'm not particularly interested in the whole thing this year, I just wanted to get an idea of what the talent is like. My interest may grow.... who knows?

American Idol

We watched American Idol for the first time this season. We don't watch the creepy audition process, we waited till they whittled it down to 12 guys and 12 girls. Tonight was the guys 1st turn and it wasn't very memorable. We'll see if the girls do any better tomorrow.

They ran the Daytona 500 today which officially kicks off the 2007 NASCAR season. It's a restrictor plate race that limits the cars horsepower and top speed. Not my favorite but I'm gassed about the upcoming races. WOO-HOO! BTW.... it was quite an exciting finish with a massive crash coming to the finish line and cars sliding all over the place.

I always have my eye out for new applications that'll clean and peed up my computer. Today I downloaded "XP Repair Pro" and "PC Pit Stop Optimize". I ran them both, they cleared a few problems, cleaned my registry and appeared to have made my computer a little more efficient. However now when I went to YouTube, it won't play. Now I gotta look into why and what I did differently from yesterday to cause this BS. It's always something, I'll tell ya!

Valentines Day

We celebrated Valentines Day by going out to dinner. We went to Las Graviotas here in town. It had been quite awhile since the last time we ate there and it's still just as good as I remembered. And since we don't go out often, it was a nice treat!

The 47nd annual Winternationals were run today. The 1st race of the new season. It was real good and I loved it!

The first Drag Race of the year is this weekend and they had the first Drags on TV tonight. It was qualifying but it hit the spot. The finals are tomorrow. AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! I love it!

Thursday nights always have good television programming. Only it has so much that it gets hard to decide what to watch, what to tape and what to skip (or find later on-line). It's actually a good problem considering how bad some of the other nights on TV are. PU!

I downloaded UFC 67 and got to watch the High Definition Pay-Per-View broadcast after I watched my normal Monday night programs. It was pretty cool. The fights were as exciting as advertised and the quality was superb!

All of a sudden today, I can't access MySpace..... at all. Not any of our pages or even MySpace home page where you log in. I scanned, washed and restored my computer many times with no success. I remembered that I have Mozilla Firefox browser also so I gave it a try and it worked perfectly! I tried some more to get Explorer fixed but finally gave up and started getting used to Firefox. What the heck!?!

Buds

I had a buddy day and I guess a buddy week. Today my buddy Tom called and we played a couple of games of on-line Cribbage. Later in the evening my old buddy Johnny called and we talked for an hour and a half. We hadn't talked in quite awhile so we caught up. Plus earlier in the week, my long haul trucker friend, Ron Tibbits stopped by and spent the night. Like I said, It's been a BUDDY WEEK!

The Prestige

I downloaded and watched "The Prestige". It's a movie I had been looking forward to and it was pretty good. It's about 2 rival Magicians that stars Christian Bale, Hugh Jackman, Scarlett Johannson and Michael Caine. It's directed by Christopher Nolan, the guy who made "Momento". Christian Bale really impresses me. He is quite an actor.
